The Notre Dame softball team made it all the way to the final of the Annie Lynch Memorial Circle of Champions tournament, but the Spirits fell 6-2 to Soquel, marking their first loss of the season.
Sarah Muzik went 2-for-4 with a home run in the loss. Miranda Santiago went 2-for-3 with a double and Marisa Given went 2-for-2 in a 9-4 semifinal win over Salinas.
The Spirits (9-1) start league play on Tuesday against Monterey.
