Investment Minister - Nation Looking Forward to China's Participation in 'Renaissance Project'

Investment Minister Osama Saleh said that the Egyptian government seeks to urge the Chinese side to participate actively in the implementation of Egypt's 'Renaissance Project.'

In Statements on Wednesday 29/8/2012 on the sidelines of the Egyptian-Chinese Business forum, Saleh said that the Egyptian side offered two investment projects to the Chinese side, namely Sharq el-Tafriya and the Upper Egypt-Red Sea project which are strategically important and economically feasible to the Chinese side.

Sharq el-Tafriya, which is a number of integral projects in Eastern Port Said at the Northern entrance to the Suez Canal, aims to develop Eastern Port Said and opening new development vistas outside the Nile Valley and the Delta, he said.

The Upper Egypt-Red Sea road is going to become one of the important roads to link Upper Egypt with Safaga port along 414 kilometers and run through four governorates, he added.
